Flash in the pan

In case you didn't know already, the use of Flash technology for websites is as good as gone. Not so long ago, websites utilising Flash were once seen as cutting edge, but alas are now highlighting themselves to be out of date.
..
I stumbled across this older video of Steve Jobs views on the branding. These views form the backbone of brand strategy and it's important to reflect on the great man and what it is to be "different". 
A "new" Singaporean loyalty card concept has picked up on an original concept from Gwilym Davies, the 2009 World Barista Champion. (pictured below).

If you are an Angry Birds fan it may shock you to know that they have "sold out" and are now being used to promote Anti-flatulence. The ads are for Gastrovet

Free Pitch Backlash

It's heartening to see the design profession mature. The damage free pitching does to our industry has been evident for some time. It must be real - there are even Linkedin groups on the subject.
Ben Crick, a Sydney designer, posted our design group earlier this week with a link to his portfolio. Rumaging around in his Behance page , I came across a page that was titled ' I Am Designer - A Manifesto For Change'... ..
